Welcome to Gugu The Baker. By placing an order, booking a workshop, or purchasing any of our products, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your purchase.

## 1. General

* These terms apply to all goods and services provided by Gugu The Baker including wedding cakes, custom celebration cakes, workshops, premixes, and baking products.
* We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time.

## 2. Orders and Payments

* Orders are only confirmed once full payment (for premixes/products) or a deposit (for cakes/workshops) has been received.
* For **wedding cakes**, a **25% non-refundable deposit** is required to secure your date. The balance is due **7 days before delivery or collection**.
* For **custom celebration cakes**, full payment or a 50% deposit may be required depending on order size.
* Payments can be made via EFT or secure online payment methods as displayed at checkout.

## 3. Pricing

* Prices are quoted based on size, flavours, design complexity, and delivery requirements.
* Quotes are valid for **14 days** from the date issued.
* Additional design changes after confirmation may result in revised pricing.

## 4. Cancellations and Refunds

* Wedding cake deposits are **non-refundable**.
* Cancellation less than **14 days before collection/delivery** may result in loss of full payment.
* Due to the perishable nature of cakes and food products, **no refunds or exchanges** are offered once the order has been collected or delivered, unless faulty.

## 5. Design and Allergies

* While every effort will be made to match your design inspiration, exact colour and detail replication cannot be guaranteed.
* Our cakes are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, and soy. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Customers are responsible for informing us of any allergies when ordering.

## 6. Collection and Delivery

* Customers are responsible for safe transport when collecting cakes. We recommend transporting on a flat surface (such as a car boot) and keeping cakes cool.
* Delivery is available for an additional fee and will be calculated based on distance and cake size.
* If no one is available to receive the order at the agreed delivery time, re-delivery will be charged.

## 7. Workshops

* Workshop bookings require advance payment to secure a spot.
* Cancellations must be made at least **7 days in advance** to reschedule. Refunds are not available.
* Gugu The Baker provides all tools and ingredients unless otherwise specified.
* Participants must follow safety instructions during workshops. We are not responsible for injuries resulting from misuse of equipment.

## 8. Premixes & Baking Products

* Premixes and baking products are **non-returnable** once opened.
* We are not responsible for baking results where instructions are not followed correctly.
* We aim to ensure all products are accurately described, but availability may vary.

## 9. Liability

* [Your Bakery Name] is not liable for damages caused by improper handling of cakes after collection/delivery.
* We are not responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, transport strikes).
* Our maximum liability in relation to any order will not exceed the value of the order itself.

## 10. Intellectual Property

* All recipes, designs, images, and workshop materials remain the intellectual property of [Your Bakery Name] and may not be copied or reproduced without consent.

## 11. Governing Law

* These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
